چکیده

Introduction: A disturbed sense of self is frequently discussed as an etiological factor for delusion symptoms in psychosis. Phenomenological approaches to psychopathology posit that lacking the localized within one’s bodily boundaries (disembodiment) one core features The present study examines this idea by experimentally manipulating boundaries. Methods: Seventy-three patients with psychosis were randomly assigned either a 10-min, guided self-massage experimental group (EG) enhance or control (CG), which massaged fabric ring. Effects on implicit measure (jumping conclusion bias; JTC) and explicit (Brief State Paranoia Checklist; BSPC) processes assessed. JTC measures tendency make decision little evidence available, BSPC explicitly approval paranoid beliefs. Results: Patients EG showed lower (M = 4.11 draws before decision) than CG 2.43; Cohen’s d 0.64). No significant difference was observed. Discussion/Conclusion: Our results indicate enhancing body through can reduce bias associated delusional ideation correspondingly support disembodiment might be relevant formation psychotic symptoms.
